THE PIES THAT BIND

HIStory. HERstory. YOURstory. PIEstory

Everybody who visits Crave Pie Studio has a PIEstory. Some stories are sentimental strolls down memory lane to days spent in grandma’s kitchen. Others are witty who-done-it mysteries about pies that have gone missing. Over the years we have heard some incredible tales. These stories fuel our passion to bake the very best pies for our guests. It is our hope that our pies may insPIEre the creation of new memories and traditions for you and your loved ones.

On any given night, you can find locals shopping, dining and gathering at the Alpharetta City Center. The centrally located development is home to many locally-owned shops and restaurants. One of its newest occupants is Crave Pie Studio.

Crave Pie Studio creates seasonally-inspired sweet and savory pies made from scratch using only local and in-season produce and ingredients. The new 1,100 square foot studio is located at 360 Commerce Street and is open from 10 am – 6 pm daily. Crave Pie has gained a fan following for its distinctive and ever-changing menu of sweet and savory pies that satisfy the soul with fresh, seasonal ingredients and a signature all-butter pastry. Recently, Crave Pie Owner and Founder Briana Carson, known as the “PiEvangelist,” was featured on NBC’s “Today Show” making her signature maple-pecan pie.

“Raving fans have been seriously craving our scratch-made pies, handcrafted by highly-skilled bakers with seasonal, fresh, local ingredients and love,” said Briana Carson, Crave Pie Studio founder and owner.“ It is our intention to bring people together over good, honest food and, judging from the success of our Duluth shop, it was clearly time to expand. I picked Alpharetta City Center for its charm and close, walkable proximity to other neighborhood shops, city parks, and locally-owned merchants.”

Sizes range from tiny, three-inch pies to 10-inch pies that serve eight people. Flavors offered daily, year ‘round in its signature five-inch pie include Chocolate Chess, Lemon Chess, Chocolate Bourbon Pecan, Dutch Apple and Maple Pecan (with pure maple syrup loaded with lots of Georgia pecans). Beyond those delightful core combinations, the creativity of Crave Pie’s artisan and highly-skilled bakers paired with seasonal produce drives a daily variety of featured custard, cream and chess pies including coconut, maple and citrus flavors.

Crave Pie accommodates custom orders, catering clients, weddings and various special events.

I recently visited Crave Pie for a pie tasting and enjoyed a savory quiche pie and a selection of sweet pies; the lemon chess was my favorite! Picking up a savory pie for dinner for your family or for a "meal train" when a friend needs a little extra help is always a delicious and easy way to make a hot dinner. And, homemade pies picked up from Crave is a great way to add dessert to any table.

Nationally Recognized Crave Pie Studio Opens Second Location at Alpharetta City Center

Duluth-based pie shop brings seasonal, homemade pies to downtown Alpharetta

ALPHARETTA, Ga. (January 6, 2020) — Alpharetta City Center today announces the opening of Crave Pie Studio, a Duluth-based pie bakery owned and operated by Briana Carson. The nine-year-old concept is the latest tenant to open its doors at Alpharetta City Center in downtown Alpharetta, joining the development’s more than 30 locally owned retailers and restaurants.

“Crave Pie has had tremendous success in Duluth, and we are confident the concept will be well-received by the Alpharetta community,” said Ashley Majors, property manager at Alpharetta City Center. “We are proud Crave Pie has selected Alpharetta City Center for its second home and look forward to introducing this sweet new experience to the market.”

Located along Commerce Street in the heart of the 26-acre development, Crave Pie offers a variety of five and 10-inch pies skillfully crafted with fresh, seasonal ingredients, as well as quiche, pot pies, crusts and pie accessories. Crave Pie’s menu features several signature flavors such as Chocolate Chess, Maple Pecan and Dutch Apple, along with a changing selection of fruit pies, creams and custards. Consumers can also place custom orders for pies in various sizes and seasonal flavors.

Carson is dedicated to bringing people together around the table for conversation and human connection. With this new Crave Pie location, Carson aims to create a community-driven gathering place where friends and strangers alike can bond.

“I cherish being part of a community where people feel like they can make our pies a part of their traditions,” Carson said. “I want to create an intimate environment similar to what we have in Duluth and use it to nurture relationships with people who visit us at Alpharetta City Center. Pie is the ultimate comfort food, and Downtown Alpharetta is the perfect place to elevate pie back to its rightful place as America’s dessert.”

In addition to its daily offerings, Crave Pie plans to host pie baking classes at its shop in Alpharetta City Center. Carson will also debut the studio’s “Happie Camper” food truck and mobile catering shop in the North Fulton market.

In early 2020, Alpharetta City Center will also welcome Carson Kitchen, marking the culmination of the development. To learn more about happenings at Alpharetta City Center, visit citycenteralpharetta.com or follow the mixed-use destination on Instagram and Facebook
